                                                                   Sea of Silver Sand Garden
The 'Sea of Silver Sand' of the Ginkaku-ji, or Ginshadam, in front of the temple of the silver pavilion, Kyoto, Japan. Built in 1482 A.D. by Shogun Yoshimasa at his villa, the area became a Zen garden after his death. The sand arrangement symbolises the sea and mountains, a simple mound reflects moonlight when viewed from the pavilion
