Geisha in the Snow by Hiroshige Utagawa 1847
A rare triptych by Hiroshige of two geisha on a jetty greeting their colleague who has arrived by boat to entertain at a party in a restaurant. Another restaurant is shown in the background of the snowy landscape. The umbrella of the geisha in the boat is of the fashionable janome type.
