Khmer Statue of Ganesha
Ganesha is the elephant-headed son of Shiva and Parvati. Shiva is the principal deity of the Brihadisvara Temple founded by the Chola king Rajaraja I. Above him is a kirtimukha (the upper jaws of a lion with beads hanging from it's mouth, usually forming a decorative portfolio for deities), symbolizing prosperity. Thanjavur, India
