Tomb Slab of a Knight of St. James
A 15th century tomb slab from one of the knights of St.
James, housed within the chapel of Villar de Donas, at
the town of Santiago de Compostela, in Spain. Santiago
became an important place of pilgrimage for Medieval
Roman Catholics following the discovery of what were
believed to be the remains of St. James, found at the
town in the 9th century.
