Yukio Mishima, the Japanese novelist who committed harakiri-ceremonial suicide - in 1970 after an abortive attempt to return Japan to her pre-war glory, will be the subject of a joint American-Japanese film produced by Francis Ford Coppola and Mata Yamamoto.

The coffin containing the body of novelist Yukio Mishima is being carried out the office of General Kanetoshi Mashita at an eastern headquarters of the Japan's Ground Self Defense Force in Tokyo 11/25. Mishima and his follower Hissho Morita committed "Harakiri" suicide after failing attack on the headquarters.
